“Thank you for doing such an incredible job as our celebrant. It was so important to us for our day to be authentic, happy, relaxed, and to reflect us as individuals as well as a couple, and you were a big part in making that happen. Continue reading →

“We couldn’t have picked a better celebrant, Hayley has found her calling!
We want to thank you so much for your beautiful ceremony you did for us, everyone has mentioned how lovely it was and we couldn’t agree more. You made us feel so comfortable all the way through and made the only official part of the day so easy, which was one less thing we had to worry about.
From the very first meeting to the first script you sent through, you captured “us” so perfectly, and this came through on the day itself. It was also the little touches, like the keepsake vows that were typed up on a vintage typewriter, that we have since framed with a photo of our day, that makes Hayley stand out and her thoughtfulness shine through. We would recommend Hayley, without a doubt!”
“There are not enough words that I can eloquently string together, as you so expertly do, to say how truly wonderful you were on our wedding day and how grateful we were to have you. I am still humbled that you agreed to preside over our special day so soon after Georgie (I barely gave you any time to get back into the swing of things… sorry about that), and how beautifully you captured our love story to share with our friends and family. You are a one of a kind woman with a gorgeous soul. Thank you… just thank you x”
Last night I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Auckland Pride Parade 2018, walking with the Glitter Squad Celebrants. We were there to celebrate the fact that #loveislove, express our passion to #marryallthepeople, and witness #vicsinenvy2k18 get married DURING THE PARADE. Celebrant Laura Giddey made things official between Victoria and Sinead, standing under a floral arch on the back of our float, as thousands of spectators cheered them on. It was an Australasian first – congratulations to them! Mrs + Mrs Envy! Just beautiful.
I was especially proud to be walking alongside my husband and two children, Beau and Georgie, in the parade. For my little ones – and for all the other little ones out there – it makes me #prouderthanever that they will be growing up in a country where, to them, love has always been love. They won’t necessarily recognise #samesexmarriage…. because, to them, it will always have been just #marriage.
“Hayley was a pleasure to work with, from our first meeting she was so warm and open and made the process of writing our ceremony so easy. She shared loads of resources and a questionnaire and once we’d gone through highlighting what we liked and what we didn’t and sharing a few notes about ourselves……voila, we had a ceremony script just like that. Hayley was quick to respond to any questions and updates and provided us all the practical details and reminders for the license part as well. On the day Hayley was the perfect mix of warm and friendly with the right level of formality for such an occasion. We received lots of feedback from our guests on the ceremony and Hayley and how well she had captured “us” in the ceremony and her words. Thank you so much for being part of our day Hayley!!”
“Hayley was such an amazing celebrant. She walked us through from start to finish with constant communication and attention. She made what is usually a very stressful process into a calm and well organised one. We never had to chase her for information. All suggestions made by Hayley was spot on. She got to know our personalities well and based our ceremony on us, changing around traditional norms to suit our personalities. The ceremony itself was well executed and even though we were a bundle of nerves, Hayley’s calming influence helped make what was to be the best day of our lives. Being two women, Hayley didn’t blink an eyelid. We felt comfortable the whole time. Hayley, we can’t thank you enough. You were everything we could hope for and more than we could ask for.”
